Eggs to Release | Swainson’s Hawks

A Swainson’s Hawk nest was in a dangerous location and needed to be removed. The eggs were transported to our rescue center and placed in incubators. Martin tended to the eggs, then cared for the chicks and released them back to the wild.

Postscript from the Volunteer Critter Webgeek:
We’ve got a few more events in the works. Monday, September 29th is the anniversary of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation/Enoch Wildlife Rescue. It will mark 28 years of helping critters as a non-profit wildlife organization. Though is still not nearly as long as Susan and Martin have been helping critters!

In celebration of the anniversary, we will have a livestream with Martin and all the Wildlife Ambassadors. This is scheduled for 12pm Utah time.

During this livestream we will also be talking about two more events and another celebration on October 13th: The Second Annual Indigenous Wildlife Day. We started this day last year and featured the Bald Eagle. This year, the featured critter is the Prairie Falcon.

For this event, we will have a Open House at the Enoch Wildlife Rescue Center on October 11th and livestream on October 13th.

We have also just recently updated our Wishlist at Amazon. On this list you can see items which would be helpful to our center. They don’t have to be purchased from Amazon. Please contact us about donating items in other ways, or any other questions about how to help.
